A life of non-resistance : action or inaction
When the winds blows south, they concur, when it changes direction, they follow suit without a hint of a protest.
After it settles, you could see hard, dry branches and twigs strewn around, while the blades return to their original position unharmed.
Most of us are dry branches, walking around, stressed and fatigued, beaten by vain effort and drained by uncalled-for resistance against the tide of life.
When we see existence in all its aspects as a struggle, we go through life tense and we get the full uncushioned blow of our circumstances.
To be a blade of grass, trust and faith in the processes of life is key.
Life offers us our sustenance, our oxygen and our dwelling, unconditionally and unquestioningly. Life wants us to be fulfilled and happy.
Our dejected states are the results of us stubbornly trying to do things our own way. We end up like the dry twig, by the side of the road, withered and lifeless.
We overplan and want to control every aspect of our lives and we end up with the illusion of dominating our existence and many destroyed dreams.
There are times when action is welcome, and there are time when we should wallow in the mist of inaction watching life work its magic with a smile plastered accross our face.
When to act and when not to take a back seat becomes clear to us once we manage to turn the volume down on the incessant senseless chatter our brain bombards us with.
