Thankfullness : The key to a fulfilling life

Opening doors for strangers, carrying groceries for the elderly, or volunteering to babysit your neighbor's toddler to allow the parents time to rekindle their passion, uninterrupted by random bout of crying.
All these actions must be done selflessly without any expectations.
Acts like these, are to be enjoyed whether we get paid for them or not.
When money and praise are the byproducts of a work done with selfless love and without expectations, we live a more fulfilling and happy life.
Thankless people may not notice that their lives are dry. They live in a loop where their surrounding is less inclined to offer them help because of the negative almost combative energy oozing out of each pore of their bodies.
They got themselves entangled into a deadly cycle. They become bitter before the heavy burden of piled up distasteful encounters with their fellow humans.
To avoid that destructive trap, we should continue opening these doors and carrying these groceries, whether we are met with a flowery barrage of praises or a disapproving look.
Thankless people deprive themselves of many gifts, saying a "thank you" here and there for small gestures, somehow opens up the receiving pathways in our life.
When we express our gratitude and joy for actions of kindness, we put ourselves in a position where we would receive more of these actions. It works like a magnet that attracts certain particles and repulse others.
