Rich countries, sick bodies

People in "rich" countries are generally over-stressed, over-medicated, overworked and their social life doesn't amount to a lot.
This lifestyle characterizes big cities, with their big companies, sprawling buildings and fast-paced life.
People in these environments spend their hard-earned money on things they don't really need, to compensate for the things this fastpaced life takes away from them.
We see people with down trodden looks, people with hunched bodies shuffling under the weight of their backpacks, we see people rushing with their cursory breakfast in their hands, we see shadow and silhouettes rather then people and human beings.
This pernicious ailment called "busy life" is sapping our energy and lowering the quality of our lives to the level of the barbarian.
Lounging away, resting and doing nothing has aquired an image of slothfulness, uselessness and unreliability.
Being busy all the time has become highly commendable to the point that people shy away from saying or engaging in anything that could be associated with "non-activity".
The coat of arms of the lazy life should be shined again to give it back its previous glory that our ancestors enjoyed and wallowed in.
