The essence of us humans

With all the technological advancement that we have achieved, we still depend on the nature around for our livelihood.
The water we drink comes from nature and the air we breathe is provided and purified by our environment.
We industrialized agriculture, but without the help of pollinators like bees and ants, and all the microorganisms that fertilize our soil, all our efforts would be vain.
Intelligence is not limited to our species, the ability to solve problems or to use tools is common among other species.
All kinds
of communications exist and are used amongst animals and plants alike. These "languages" range from signals, to visual cues, to chemicals and sounds.
The human body is made up of millions of species without which our demise would be certain.
All the microscopic organisms that live on and in our bodies are part of our constitution.
The bacteria that lives on our skin protects us from infections, and the one that lines our stomach helps us digest our food, regulates our mood, and affects our taste and personality.
We are not a homogeneous mass, we are the result of the collaborative work of millions of species that call our bodies home.
