Our obsession with speed : Slowing down to go faster

Sometimes we see people quitting sports after three months of excessive training, while others, who engage in frequent moderate exercise routine and allow themselves enough rest, continue to show up at the gym, swimming pool or boxing ring for longer periods of time.
The "speed group" quits the training process many times out of weariness and exhaustion, and restarts it mostly out of guilt mostly.
The "slow group" achieves better results because of their consistency, patience, and steady and most importantly their slow rhythm.
A slow rhythm loers our expectation and makes us less eager to achieve quick results, since the investment is time and effort is low.
Everything has its rhythm and growth cadence, trying to cheat nature and accelerate our expansion leads to mediocre and "underripe" results.
It takes tomatoes around three months to ripen. The tomato never says, “This season, I will try to ripen in one month”.
When we artificially try to speed up that process, we end up with bland tomatoes, that have less nutrients and that may cause indigestion.
