Circumstances, blaming, victimhood and perception

Circumstances are neutral, they are neither good, nor bad. We allow them to put us down, or raise us up to lofty heights depending on our interpretations, and dispositions.
Happy, optimistic people see happiness and opportunities everywhere, while melancholic, pessimistic ones see disaster and doom all around them.
Blaming make us sink deeper into the quicksand of our victimhood.
We feel the addictive euphoria of martyrdom as we get dragged down into the whirlpool of our torment and lamentations.
Fault-finding also deprives us of the ability to take a stand, to have a steadfast view and position on the issues that may arise in our lives, as we are busy looking for scapegoats to justify our unexpected outcomes and unfavorable conditions.
Being easy on ourselves and accepting the fact that we are, as human being, very fallible creatures and that we learn through mistakes will help us in starting to graciously take more accountability about our own misjudgments.
Accountability gives us more control over our lives since there is nobody else to blame. To fix a problem, we simply fix our attitudes, our strategies and our approach
