The concept of Fear, a fabrication of our mind

Nobody can see fear. The description people give of it takes on many different forms, but the feeling is almost the same and it  varies in intensity and duration.
Fear is a concept devised by our brain just like the past, and the future. It helps us deal with danger by urging us to take action that could save our lives and steer us clear of danger.
During a “dangerous” situations, we either freeze, deal with the cause of the fear, or hurriedly flee.
Due to the fact that fear is merely a perception and a feeling, with no physical presence, it could easily be fabricated, manipulated and amplified.
Fear, when it establishes itself in our psyche could trickle into all areas of our life.
We use the word fear to describe a feeling in the same way we use the word water to describe the clear liquid that we drink. We readily forget that that word is just a symbol that has nothing to do with the actual object.
Other cultures have different names for things. A name is just a symbol that is highly malleable. We can ascribe attributes to it and thus breathe life into it.
We could make it good, evil, or neutral.
The symbols and their representation are closely knit in our brains.
When we believe that a symbol has certain characteristics, the substance it alludes to, takes on these attributes.
It is akin to wrapping a slice of fresh bread in a plastic bag that reads "Fresh home-made bread", then shoving another piece of bread in different bag that reads "Toxic waste".
The bread hasn't changed, but its perceived attributes changed based on the wrapper.
Fear could be generally described as a feeling of uneasiness about an impending danger.
That danger doesn't have to be real, and it doesn't have to be immediate.
That feeling of dread, in normal circumstances, is supposed to last for a very short period of time due to the amount of stress it subjects our bodies to.
If left unchecked, or unquestioned, it lingers, altering our hormonal secretions, and negatively affecting our digestion, breathing, and immune system, thus causing our overall health to slowly deteriorate.
