Brain paradigms and our perception

Our brain uses patterns to see and interpret the world around it. If a pattern doesn't exist in our brain, we would fail to notice and recognize anything that is related to it.
Hence the saying, "We see the world as we are".
If we hold a certain belief, we tend to see it manifested in our life.
With time, it gets consolidated in our brain and it becomes easier for us to notice anything that is compatible with it.
Our belief becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
The manifestation of any belief is always out there. Whether we see it, or fail to notice is based on whether we have a program in our brain that can recognize it.
A simple example would be a new purchase.
We walk into a shop, and our eyes fall on a pair of shoes that we have never seen before. We proudly make the purchase, thinking that it is unique since it is the first time we notice that design in a shoe. The next day, while walking around to celebrate our particular taste, we are surprised to see that a lot of people are wearing the same pair.
Did they see us buy it and run to the store to get the exact same pair?
These shoes were there all the time, but we failed to see them.
Once we have noticed them in the shop, they became part of "our wolrd and realitity", our brain started making us aware of their presence.
